The first watch made in steel from the Eiffel Tower
Since 2015, SAINT HONORE reinvents its Tour Eiffel watch collection, its bezel made in steel from the Parisian building a symbol of the collection.
In 2019, the watchmaking brand reveals a 324 pieces limited edition of this exceptional timepiece, a reminder of the height of the monument. The small second hand now takes on the shape and colour of the elevator wheels of the Eiffel Tower. This new version also differs from the original model in that it sports a crown positioned at 4 o’clock and date display at 3 o’clock.
With the collaboration of the Eiffel Tower Committee (SETE), SAINT HONORE gathered 200 kg of steel dating from 1885 and coming from the Eiffel Tower’s Arch. This steel was then melted and blended with 15% of chrome, making the bezel rustproof.
A unique collector’s timepiece
With its sculpted decoration and brown colour, the “Made of Tour Eiffel” watch’s bezel is directly inspired from the Iron Lady’s architecture. It highlights a dial with these same lattice patterns and unveils a self-winding mechanical movement in its center.
Originally contested by some, the Eiffel Tower was firstly the showcase of French technical know-how, on the occasion of the World Fair in 1889. Praised by the public since its presentation at the exhibition, it has welcome more than 200 million visitors since its inauguration. Its exceptional size and its instantly recognizable silhouette have made it an emblem of Paris.
